"Pacific Overtures" (Professional show)

“Musical director Robyn Womersley’s efforts with the singing have allowed the fiendishly difficult score to sound natural and generally effortless. The four musicians sound like several more”

 (simonparrismaninchair.com)

“The orchestra (well, band, really) is stripped back to four players under Robyn Womersley’s direction. Miraculously, it rarely feels like much is lost from the original orchestrations, and the cast are well-supported throughout”  (dailyreview.com.au)

“Michael Ralph’s choreography is also stunning in parts. He obviously infuses himself in the score as it complements Robyn Womersley’s flawless orchestra perfectly”  (performing.artshub.com.au)

The Laudanum Project "Ballad of the Plague Doctor" (Cabaret)

“Robyn is the real musical brain in The Laudanum Project. She is classically trained, she teaches and plays in many big commercial musicals around Melbourne. She’s amazing. The music in the shows is just as important as the words. Because the music functions as a ‘soundtrack’ the overall effect is oddly cinematic” (australianstage.com.au)

“Underneath the seething monologues and poetry sits a dark and unsettling soundscape that serves as a constantly shifting soundtrack which accompanies the entire story from beginning to end”

 (horrornetwork.wordpress.com)

“Accompanied by the small stage’s only other occupant, a grim gothic figure, pale of brow and black of lip who sits at a keyboard and plays out a continual musical underscore to his grim tale”  (stagewhispers.com.au)

"Les Femmes" (Cabaret)

Robyn Womersley does her usual amazing job bringing all the music together, not to mention her surprise turn as a performer.  (olentangymusic.com)
